Cheap eTrex Vista C
Vista GPS C is Garmin's exciting, new, pocket-size handheld that brings color, automatic routing, longer batter life and much much more to the popular Vista. The Cheap eTrex Vista C and we say cheap becuase we sell it for a really really low price, comes standard with tones of features like electronic compass sensors for accurate bearing information while standing still and barometric altimeter with local pressure and 48-hour automatic pressure-tend recorder with the evelation computer.
Garmin Vista C has a GPS accuracy of 15 meters or less in normal GPS mode and 3 meters or less when WAAS is enabled. The Vista internal memory is 24 MB megabytes for loading MapSource detail including BlueChart marine and topographic cartography. The unite dimensions are 2.2"W by 4.2"H by 1.2"D, the C's display is 1.3"W by 1.7"H and 2.0" diagonally it ha a 256-color high resolution reflective TFT screen with backlighting for sunlight viewing.
The Cheap Vista C weights only 5.6 ounces with batteries which are not included with the package. It's battery life span is up to 20 hours using two AA alkaline batteries (typical user). It comes standard with a built-in basemap with automatic routing capabilities. It is compatible with most MapSource products, see the product compatibility able for a list of products that Garmin recommends with this software.
The Garmin Vista C is waterproof and is submerisble into one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. It has Waypoints and routes of 500, that's 500 waypoints with name and graphic symbol and 50 reversible routes. It's track log is 10,000 trackpoints, TrackBack technology and 20 saved tracks. It has audible alarms, proximity waypoint, anchor drag, and off-course alarms; built-in alarm clock. The Vista C also has a built-in GPS patch antenna. Other features it has are selectable audio tones and color schemes; stopwatch; hunting/fishing calendar; sun/moon calculations and trip computer.

It is WAAS-enabled, and like all eTrex units, the primary controls are oriented on the side of the unit, so the user can conveniently operate it with one hand. Also, an innovative rocker switch is located on the face of the unit that enables the user to input data easily, scroll through menus, or pan the map page.
