GPS-Guy.com is
protected by a 128bit SSL encryption which is provided to us
by GeoTrust.com any transaction that is processed by our
site is fully secure at the point of transaction as well as
later on. We do not store any credit card numbers in
our database, all information that is entered into the
system during checkout is encrypted then saved.
What does it mean when you say information is encrypted?
When
information is encrypted it means that before we save
anything to our central database the entered value that
looked like your name would not be saved the same, for
example: "John Smith" would not be saved as plain text, it
would look more like the following:
"$&*(&%$&#(%*YFDS&*F&*($&)#($*%)".
By using the encryption technique it allows us to be
confidant about all the information that is stored on our
systems. If anything was to happen to our servers the
information on our database would not be readable text.
If you have any other questions in regards to our site
security please don't hesitate to contact us.
